Claims

Bekins provides both depreciated value and full value protection options for our Military customers.  Both options are available by contacting your Transportation Office when you make arrangements for your relocation.  The protection option chosen must be indicated on the GBL (Government Bill of Lading).

Should you need to file a claim for a shipment handled by Bekins and you have depreciated value coverage, contact the Claims Office at your destination installation.  Your Transportation Office can provided you with contact information.  

If you have full value protection indicated on your GBL, and need to file a claim, you can contact our Claims Dept. at 800-7-Bekins.  Be sure to have your Carrier Reference Number of GBL Number available, and be sure to provide your complete mailing address.  You will receive a claim form, and we recommend that you file a claim as soon as possible.  Do not discard any damaged items until a Bekins representative has had the opportunity to view the damage.
