John’s Moving & Storage, established in Raleigh in 1997 and under current ownership since 2016, recently signed with Bekins Van Lines’ agency network as a prime interstate agent, joining more than 150 Bekins agents across the country. The company was previously an independent agency but chose to align with Bekins to grow its ability to move local families further across the country than it was able to move them on its own.

John’s Moving & Storage Background
Owner Todd Williams runs his moving company as a family-owned business, with his sister-in-law, Jill Merritt, handling all billing and claims. Merritt and many of Williams’ other employees have extensive knowledge of the moving industry and several years of experience. All employees are full-time and go through employment screening prior to being hired at John’s, with the goal of serving families in the Triangle area and helping with their moves during that stressful time.
The John’s Moving & Storage team supports the community through donating moves for auctions at the local elementary school and sponsoring little league baseball teams.
